 Boca Chica is home to 26 residents (as of 2000). It is located just a few miles away from the mouth of the Rio Grande River. It's not far from the Gulf Coast and just 20 miles east of Brownsville, Texas. Founded in the 1960s, the quiet town is now facing destruction at the hands billionaire Elon Musk. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk purchased the land in Boca Chica in 2015. He started buying houses which were abandoned. Why? Why? He's succeeded at buying most of the town , but 10 residents who are tenacious refuse to sell their homes to the eccentric billionaire.Musk has concentrated his Starship Super Heavy program in the tiny town. The rocket, 394 feet high, will dramatically reduce costs of space travel and make it less expensive. The project is in danger in the event that the remaining 10 people in Boca chica, the majority of whom are older and retired, continue to refuse to sell to Musk.SpaceX tried to buy Boca Chica as a whole back in September of this year. The company claimed that it could provide people with three times as much value as the homes they owned in the moment.
