Haruka

 Haruka Nanase (Qi Lai Yao Nanase Haruka) is the main character in the animated series Free!. It begins with Free! and ends with HighSpeed! by Kouji Ohji. He is a freestyle swimmer and was vice-captain of the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club. He is a current university student at Hidaka University where he also is a member of the swim team while pursuing professional competition on the international stage.Haruka is a muscular young man with blue eyes and his hair is short and straight with bangs that dangle in between his eyes. He is serious , and seldom shows emotion. In high school, he often wears his jammers beneath the clothes he wears in order to be prepared to swim on a moment's need. Jammers (black and with slight variations in the violet striping) are almost identical, but he states they are different sizes and it can be difficult for him to choose which one to wear every morning. His triceps and abdominal muscles (upper arms and abdomen) are the strongest.
