Matthew

Alex Trebek continues to be a kind, decent man even after his passing. The former "Jeopardy!" host's outfit is donated by the Trebek family and "Jeopardy!" to the Doe Fund. The Doe Fund provides paid work as well as housing, ongoing education, vocational training and social assistance to Americans with histories of incarceration, addiction, and homelessness. Fourteen suits, 58 dress shirt, 300 tie, as well as a range of other items of clothing were donated on the advice of Trebek's son Matthew. The clothing will be provided to those in need of job interviews under The Doe Fund's "Ready Willing and Able" program. The new complex of 50,000 square feet will be a home for seniors living in poverty within the San Fernando Valley. This isn't a single gift from Trebek. Since the beginning, he's been contributing financially to Hope of the Valley. In March of 2020 the group received $100,000 to go into a facility located in North Hollywood. The "Alex and Jean Trebek Multipurpose Room" will reside there when it's finished. It will have approximately 80 beds and bathrooms, as also a laundry room.
