 Meles Zenawi net Worth: Meles Zenawi, an Ethiopian businessman and politician with a net worth of more than $3 billion, was the former Ethiopian Prime Minister. Meles Zenawi was the previous Prime Minister for Ethiopia. Before becoming a prime minister of his native country, Zenawi was the president Ethiopia during the nineties (from 1991 to 1995). He also was chairman of Tigrayan People's Liberation Front, (TPLF) as well as the leader of the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front. Zenawi, who was elected Premier of Ethiopia in 1995, died in the month of August, 2012. Zenawi also played a significant role in the US' War on Terror and helped to eradicate organizations that were deemed to be military, such as Al Qaeda. In addition, Zenawi was praised for his efforts to establish a stable relationship with the African Union, playing an important role in improving Africa's position on climate change. However his leadership came under fire, when he was accused of abusing the rights of a number of people concerns and restricting the freedom of press/speech.
