Ratched

 Ryan Murphy developed Ratched, an American thriller that is a streaming television series. Sarah Paulson plays the role of the character of Nurse Mildred Ratched. The prequel to Milos Forman's 1975 film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (based on Ken Kesey's 1962 novel of the same title), it depicts the story of Mildred Ratched prior to the events portrayed in the film, though in a different state (California as opposed to Oregon). Ratched received a two-season series order. The first season premiered on Netflix on September 18, 2020.Ratched is a suspenseful, dramatic series that traces the beginning story of an asylum nurse Mildred Ratched. In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment in a top psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling tests have been conducted on the human mind. Mildred appears to be the perfect model of a nurse who is dedicated. But the wheels continue turning. As Mildred begins to penetrate the mental health system and the people within it, Mildred’s elegant exterior hides a dark secret that is simmering within her.
