 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum is an Emirati politician/businessman who has a net worth in more than $14 billion is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum. He is Vice President and Prime Minster of the United Arab Emirates as well as the ruler of the Emirate Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed is the owner of 99.67% Dubai Holding is responsible for the creation of man-made islands of palm trees in the Persian Gulf. He was born in Dubai on the 15th of July 1949. The United Arab Emirates was not yet established at the time of his birth. He is a member of the Al Maktoum family, Dubai's rulers, who are also descendants of the Al-Falasi House. His grandfather's maternal line was the Abu Dhabi ruler. Sheikh Mohammed is the third child of Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum (outside of a total four sons) and Sheikha Latifa Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan. Sheikh Mohammed was a student in Dubai from 1966 to 1966, when he and his cousin relocated to England to attend the Bell Educational Trust English Language School. After graduating from Aldershot's Mons Officer Cadet School, he received military training.
