Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian, who's been performing for a long time. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. She was on QI, alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as her stage title Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984), is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comic. After playing bits in a variety of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea began her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. After 2012 she had been appearing in sketch comedy shows, sitcoms, and other similar programs. After she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear often in various panel shows. In 2016 through 2017, she was a team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats and a regular contestant in the show's spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the child of Brian O'Sullivan, and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is the younger of her siblings. She was the only female to win So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. Bea, her maiden name, was a tribute to her late dad. Aisling Cliodhnadh'Sullivan' was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian who was an equine vet who was killed at the age of three when Bea turned three, was a victim of self-harm. She was told about his passing at thirteen years of age. In 2017 she composed an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also took on the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea and her younger sister Sinead and her sister Sinead, were brought up by Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. They were both passionate about racing, horses and racing. Bea started out as an official guide for tourists for the Irish National Stud. But she realized her true passion was performing and not racing.
